The front lock cylinder, both lock pawl cylinders, and roll bar support cylinder come pre-equipped with our exclusive Direct Coupler™ quick-connect fittings. These innovative cylinder-to-hose connectors allow you to simply cut the hydraulic lines near the old fittings during removal, then directly reconnect the existing hoses to the new cylinders — no need to fully disconnect and re-route hoses all the way back to the pump. Mercedes offered the “Remote Trunk” option in model years 2006-2012. It is not to be confused with the soft close or load assist function in all R230 trunk lids or the trunk lid popping up when it is released, but it is an option that closes the trunk lid from the fully open position from the key fob.
 
The Roll Bar Lift Cylinder and the Pawl Lock Cylinders are part of the roll bar assembly. They are related to hydraulic lowering and raising of the rollbar. The emergency deployment is independent via electronic release of spring pressure in the roll bar. Top Hydraulics upgrades the seals inside the hydraulic cylinders - this is independent of emergency deployment.
