Mercedes-Benz Diagnosis & Inspection Service
What the Service Entails
Initial Assessment: Perform a visual inspection for obvious wear and tear and verify your specific concerns.
Diagnostic Scan: Using specialized equipment to connect to the vehicle's OBD-II port to read "Diagnostic Trouble Codes" (DTCs) stored in the onboard computers.
Fault Code Analysis: The interpretation of codes to pinpoint problems in the engine, transmission, electrical systems, or safety features like ABS and SRS (airbags).
Component Testing: If codes are vague, the technician may perform manual tests, such as checking wiring, measuring battery voltage, or conducting a test drive to verify symptoms.
Detailed Report: You receive a full health report including findings and recommended repairs to restore factory specifications.
Critical Systems Monitored
Engine Management: Pinpoints misfires, sensor malfunctions, and fuel efficiency issues.
Transmission: Identifies gear shifting problems and electronic control unit (ECU) faults.
Electrical Systems: Tests batteries, alternators, and intricate wiring that general scanners might miss.
Safety & Braking: Monitors brake responsiveness, ABS functionality, and airbag readiness.
